Ugh. Christmas is practically around the corner. I can’t believe it’s on Friday! I haven’t really done much Christmas shopping, sadly. I got a few things for my Secret Santa at work, and a couple things for my peeps at work—but that’s about it. I owe my sister about $300 dollars for helping me pay off my school bill ( found out that my financial aid wont pay the whole bill each term) so not only do I need to save my money to pay her back, but I also need to save up so I wont need to ask anyone for money at the end of Winter Term either. It’s really a crappy deal. Luckily, that and my car bill/gas are the only bills I get. I’m thinking maybe I’ll just give my sister and brother some extra cash that they can spend how they want.

Yesterday was sooo crappy at first. o.m.g lol. I had such a hard time getting to sleep on Sunday night, so when I had to wake up at 4:00am for work on Saturday I was completely exhausted. And throughout the whole day I was constantly yawning, and even though I was drinking tons of coffee I was on the verge of falling asleep while standing. lol. But, after work I got to FINALLY go see my best friend’s new baby (Or at least she was new in August, lol) It was the first time I’ve gotten to go hang out with them since her baby shower. ZOMG, she is the most adorable baby ever! I couldn’t help but to just love her instantly! They named her Nastasha (pronounced Na—STOSH—A; it’s a little different) and I really like it! Her full name is just beautiful, it rolls right off your tongue. I’ll have a picture of her later, I sent it from my phone to Flikr; It always takes awhile for it to finally show on my Photostream.

Looking for Books.. I’ve been searching around for interesting books to read lately, do you guys have any suggestions? What’s your favorite book, and what’s the storyline?

Tomorrow is Friday, unfortunately. I hate Fridays, because it means I have to go to bed early so I can wake up at 4:00 AM yet again. Grrrf. Next week I wont have as much free time, because I told my boss I’d start working as much as she needed me to until winter break is over. I’ll a bit excited though, because working weekdays means I’ll get to see everyone more. There’s a few people I don’t get to see at all when I only work on the weekends and I miss them. I’ll get more money too, so that’s a plus. Hopefully I can save most of it though. I don’t want to do much Christmas shopping, because I may need extra money to pay off what my financial aid can’t.

When I went to the library the other day, I checked out the book “Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood” because I remember watching the movie a loooooong time ago, and I don’t even remember if I liked the movie or not, but I like to read the book if I’ve seen (or am going to see) the movie. So far, it seems all right. I like the way the author writes, but there are a few lines that make me cringe. Things I feel are better left in a porno book, than in this story. lol. It’s a bit weird when all the sudden she throws out a line like that when you’re not expecting it. *eye roll*

Fix Me:I have a lot of broken link fixes to do, I’ve noticed. Since I changed the layout I missed a couple links on mostly the tutorial pages. So, I’ll try to go through them all and correct that today. Mehs. I’ve gotten some emails requesting me to add certain tutorials, which I’m going to try to add within the next few days. I don’t have to work until Saturday (woot) so I should have some time to get most of them done. If I don’t procrastinate, that is. :-P

How We’re Looking: One of my blog affiliates pointed out to me that my site looks normal in Internet Explorer yesterday, and she sent me a screenshot of what it looks like. It looks like maybe it’s just my computer/version of Internet Explorer that doesn’t seem to work correctly with my layout. Does anyone else have a problem with the navigation covering up part of the blog? Let me know! Otherwise I’ll just believe that everyone is able to view the site properly, and I wont try to fix it.

How about we view some pictures, since I’m not in the mood to write.

The navigation on this layout, unfortunately does not work correctly in Internet Explorer. I’m trying to work it out, I swear. Sorry to those who use IE to view websites; But if you do use IE, I strongly suggest that you get rid of it and switch over to Mozilla Firefox, because not only does Firefox actually follow the rules for CSS stuff, it also is a bazillion times safer! You’re less likely to get a virus on your computer, and other nasty computer-flu’s if you just switch your default browser over to Firefox. It’s got a prettier logo anyways, so seriously there shouldn’t be anyone left in the world that uses IE after all that. According to my hits tracker most of my visitors use Firefox anyways. It seems to be only a select few that are being silly-pants and not joining us.
So, stop being a NOOB and follow this link to download Mozilla Firefox!
If your parents don’t agree, just tell them I’m a web genius and said it’s much safer to use Firefox. ;-) lol

Knitting Loom Updates: I went to the Wal*Smarty today and got some new yarn. It’s really thick, which I wasn’t too thrilled about, but it was the only yarn that came in a nice color AND felt soft. I don’t like the really thin fake yarn for making nice scarves, they end up being too scratchy and nobody wants a scarf burn around their neck. SRSLY Wal*Smarty, you failed me today. I’ll have to search around for a craft store, and see if I can find more selections in the quality stuff. I don’t know why Wal*Smarty thinks people want to make things using those ugly colors they have. Like “turd mixed with mold green” color. EW. C’monnnnn.

Here’s a picture of the scarf I made using the big thick yarn. To my dismay, there wasn’t enough to make it as long as I wanted, nor enough to make tassels on both ends. I doubt I’ll go back and buy more just to add 6 inches of length, and some tassels. Guess this one will just have to stay a retard.

I’m loving Google right now, I just did a search for craft stores around where I live and I found the perfect place (or so it seems.) Maybe on Monday I’ll drive up there and check it out.

I’m trying to think up some neat Christmas graphics; My plan is to have a page of them by tomorrow night. Right now I’m brainstorming ideas, but I’m feeling like they need a little more OOmff. I’ll edit the post later if I come up with something snazzy.

Knitting Loom..
I got an early Christmas present yesterday, because my mom overheard me talking about how I wanted to buy a knitting loom so I could make my friends cute scarves for Christmas, and since she’d already bought me one, she didn’t want me to go out and buy another— So, she let me have it early! It’s really fun! I started on a practice scarf for myself, before I make any for my friends; It’s turning out quite nicely! I highly suggest getting one of these from a craft store, or Wal*Mart if you want to have nicely knitted scarves, but can’t knit! lol

I’m almost finished with it already, and I just started last night. I’m not totally sure how to sew up the end of it though. :-X I’ll have to look through my instructions and see if I can figure it out. I’m thinking about going to Wal*Mart tomorrow after work, so I can get more of the quality yarn—the really softie stuff, so the scarves I make for my friends will be nice and soft.

Now that I’ve basically finished the layout, I’ll probably start messing around with my PSPXI and hopefully make a few updates. I’m not totally sure what I want to make though. Maybe some scribbles? I’m in a scribble-kind-of mood. lol I’ve been browsing sites looking for affiliates lately, because most of my blog affiliates are inactive. I need something to read! lol. Tragic..
In other news: I was logging into my aol account, to check my email and I saw a story about a woman who witnessed her family drown. It sounded really tragic, I’d hate to go through what she did. Read the Article Here. I always have nightmares about losing my family in different scenarios. I suppose it makes me realize how important it is to show how much I care about them now though, before it’s too late. Hopefully, I wont have to deal with them dying all at once like this woman did.

Updates to the site..
I’ve been working on snow globes today, so far I only have two though, because when I went to upload the pages my internet starting really fouling up, and I couldn’t log into my FTP, or Cpanel. I’ll probably be working more on it tomorrow, since I have nothing planned for the day. I’ve also added some new quote-like banner things.

1. A bought a new mouse, and it’s pink. ♥ I adore it.
2. Thanksgiving came and went, and it was good times all around. I hope you all had a good holiday as well. ;-)
3. I went and saw the new Twilight Movie (New Moon) and it was fantastic. It made me sad though, it just reminds me of all the pain involved with being dumped. lol
4. I pretty much got through all my classes unscathed, hopefully I get some good grades. *Crosses Fingers*
5. I’m reading two books right now: Twilight (again.. lol ) and The Mists of Avalon, which is basically the story of king Arthur from a woman’s view. It’s pretty excellent, but it’s HUGE! I’m having a hard time getting through it because of it’s mere size.
6. I’ve signed up for my new winter term classes, which I’ll go over later.
7. I made a snazzy little collage of all my favorite pictures from my computer and stuck it on my wall.
8. Unfortunately, my pink hair is fading and it’s kind of a mixture of pink, blond, orange, and brown.. Here’s a picture of it:


Now, onto my classes… For winter term I’m taking two computer classes, one is on XHTML, and the other is about Databases. Then I’ve got a math class, which is actually the one I’m most excited about. (I know, I’m weird.. But it’s been forever since I’ve taken one and I’m excited to refresh.) My fourth class is just a credit filler, so I picked a fun one! It’s an art class that teaches you how to do ceramics! Probably wouldn’t be my first choice for an art class—since I favor drawing/painting rather than sculpting, but it’s closer to my house and it’ll be easy.

It's been so much fun, but I've been a bit too busy to continue updating the site regularly. Unfortunately the whole SOTM thing completely died. I'm really sorry to everyone who joined that. Right around the time that I had planned to set up the voting form, I got extremely busy in real life. My bad. I may set it up so everyone that's already entered will be in the next SOTM, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep up with it this month either. I'll think about it and get back to you all. As far as school goes, it's been a lot of fun. I had my first public transportation experience, lol. I'd never ridden the public bus before. It was pretty fun, we took what I call the "accordion bus" because it has a bendable middle section that looks like an accordion. It was similar to a ride in Disneyland. lol "Star Tours." It saves so much money on gas, as well as gets rid of the whole trying to find parking problem. I'm taking two computer classes this term, one is kind of boring and a hassle because it's Managing Windows Vista, and I don't have windows vista on my laptop, so I have to borrow my sister's laptop to do my homework. The assignments are really silly, because it's only teaching everyone the extreme basics of using a computer. "This is the MOUSE POINTER" lol. I knoooowwwww! But it's a required class, so I have to do it in order to get my computer programming degree. My other computer class is about problem solving with computers, and we actually get to learn a bit about computer programming. Using a computer language called Small Basic. I don't know if any of you have ever heard of that before. It's basically a simple programming language that Microsoft made up. It's been fun so far. Hopefully it doesn't get too hard as we progress deeper. My other classes are Human Sexuality and Strength Training. The health class has been a combination of completely awkward, and fun at the same time. We had to do an activity where we write down all the different names for penis, and vagina. LOL. It was weird naming them off. For my strength training class, we've just been starting out really basic and easy; learning about all the different types of weight lifting equipment and such. I can't wait until we start doing more advanced stuff. I took a strength training class in high school, so I already know all the basic stuff. I'm looking forward to starting the leg press machine. That's always been my favorite. I may be adding some updates to the site this weekend if I can get myself to sit down and do it. lol. I want to add more into the tutorials, and design tools areas. I'll try to guilt trip myself into working on those. lol. Sorry I haven't been visiting my affiliates lately, I'll try to make a point of doing that more! Working a lot, as always, but I also went to orientation for school and got all my classes set up! I'm pretty excited. :-) Here's what my schedule looks like: 8:00 - 9:50 Operating Environments - Managing Windows (Monday and Wednesday) 10:00 - 11:50 Problem Solving with Computers (Monday and Wednesday) 2:00 - 3:20 Health (Monday and Wednesday) 11:30 - 12:50 Strength Training (Tuesdays and Thursdays Only) The operating environments, and problem solving with computers sound kinda boring; since I already know how to work a computer with windows and such. But it's a prerequisite for my computer programming degree so I have to take it. :- Oh well! It'll give me more time to focus on my health class, since I haven't had one since I was a sophomore in high school, it's been a while. lol I think the one I'm the most excited about is the P.E. class. I took a strength training class back in my junior year in HS, and I loved it. The only downside to the P.E. class is that it's on a Tuesday/Thursday, and all the other classes are on Monday and Wednesday, so I'll have to drive about 40 minutes to school by myself on those days for just one class. :-( The other two days of school, I'm going to be riding the bus with my sister. Orientation day was a complete and total mess by the way! I got there, and was completely lost on where I was supposed to go, since they didn't have any signs, just people standing in huge lines, all over the place. So I finally figured out where the check in desk was, and told them I was here, then I went and stood in a couple lines and found out I had to print a copy of my transcript; So I did that, but when I went to grab it from the printer, the lady tending to the printer station told me I didn't need one of the papers, and tossed it in the trash; Turns out that was the most important part of my transcript! :-( So I got in the next line and they looked at my transcript and told me I was inactive since I hadn't taken a class in so long! In reality they were looking at the older half of my transcript. So, she sent me back to the computer line, and I had to wait again to get to a computer where I could re apply for the college! ARGH! I finish that, and go to another "help desk" line where I'm supposed to have the people active my something or other so that I can finally get into the speech they're giving about classes, and the school. Once they finally figure out at the help desk what's going on with my account, they lady say's "Well, dear looks like you were active to begin with! I don't know why they made you re apply!" WELL SHIT PEOPLE! Come ONNNN! So I FINALLY get to go into the orientation speech room ( I was second to last to get done with all that BS, out of TONS of other people), and they're about 75% through the lecture, though I came to find out that it was all stuff I already knew so there was no point in freaking out the whole time thinking I was going to miss valuable information. Next they took each group into another room where they talked about degree's and more important stuff, and then they allowed us to register for classes. In the end, it was a long freakin' day, and I was so glad to have my schedule done with. Though it was hard to find all the classes I needed, that weren't already full. :-X Next step is to get my paycheck on the 20th, and go school clothes shopping! I'm excited for that as well. I never really go clothes shopping, so it'll be fun getting some new clothes. I also need to buy my books, and get the sticker for my bus pass! I hope I don't forget the sticker. lol. Wednesday the 19th was my younger sister's 18th birthday, so we went over to the coast to celebrate! It was loads of fun, I haven't gone in years. Flew kites, attempted to build a sand castle, but the waves came up and washed it away. lol :-P I took a few pictures of the trip as well; I'll post a few on Flikr, and here to show you all. We built a little campfire in the sand and roasted hot dogs as well, haha. Here's a picture of my sister and brother out trying to fly a kite: I bought the kites at the dollar store, because we were in a hurry. :-X They seemed to work alright. Enough to get my fill of kite flying in. lol. Next time I want to get a fancy kite, since they seem to work better. Here's my birthday card to my sister: The camera couldn't quite fit it all in, but it says, " Happy 18th Birthday Molly." And here is the yummy chocolate Kahlua birthday cake my mom made! SO, wish me luck! Hopefully I can finally stick with a career choice this time. Haha. Wednesday the 19^th was my younger sister’s 18^th birthday, so we went over to the coast to celebrate! It was loads of fun, I haven’t gone in years. Flew kites, attempted to build a sand castle, but the waves came up and washed it away. lol I took a few pictures of the trip as well; I’ll post a few on Flikr, and here to show you all. We built a little campfire in the sand and roasted hot dogs as well, haha.

I bought the kites at the dollar store, because we were in a hurry. :-X They seemed to work alright. Enough to get my fill of kite flying in. lol. Next time I want to get a fancy kite, since they seem to work better.

I’ve finally decided on my major in school; hopefully tomorrow I can get myself to go down and talk to a counselor about it. I’d like to do Computer Programing, with a splash of graphic design/multimedia design to liven things up. I think it’d be a lot more fun than everything else I’ve tried and though about doing. SO, wish me luck! Hopefully I can finally stick with a career choice this time. Haha.

We had a line going basically all the way around the store, just waiting to meet him. I got "lucky" and met him while I was just walking into the break room; headed for the bathroom to change into my new shirt (yes, we got free Phil Harris T-Shirts) and he came stormy out of the bathroom - nearly running me over. :-X I didn't even realize it was him, until later. lol. (Since I'd never seen him before.) His son was also with him signing autographs. The girls at work kept saying he was cute; personally I think he looked kind of sketchy, lol. I tried to take a couple pictures, but they didn't turn out very well, since my phone doesn't zoom, but I uploaded them to Flikr anyways; in case you'd like to see them. Today at the store I work at, they were having an autograph signing with Phil Harris from Deadliest Catch. (It’s on the discovery channel.) Apparently the image map code it generates is not very valid to say the least, so I had to go along and fix it all. Which makes me think I should make a tutorial on image mapping, and then another on how to validate your image mapping so it doesn't screw up your whole site. Would that be of use to any of you? Hopefully at least a few people who stumble across this site might find it useful. I would like to have PSP on my mini but I would have to download it on here and I don't know where I could download a full version of it. I might just download Gimp onto this one for making simple graphics like scribbles, but I'm not very comfortable with Gimp since I'm so used to doing everything on my PSPXI program. For all the updates today I've just been making things on my other laptop and then uploading them to photobucket; then coding the pages on Gidget. I'd like to make a few wallpapers during my three day weekend that fit on smaller laptops like this one. I've been browsing websites trying to find a cute wallpaper that fits, but there really isn't much out there. I don't know if I've mentioned it in my last few blogs; but I've been on and off dizzy the last few days. The first day of it was so bad that I had to call into work because I had like no balance at all. Now it's just kind of an irritating motion sickness kind of feeling and it's driving me crazy. I think I need to buy some Dramamine (motion sickness meds.) My mom thinks I may have (another :-( ) ear infection; Great! Ugh. Some of my coworkers think I am having allergy complications due to the fact that my ears are already messed up. I broke a hole in my ear drum a few years ago and my hearing hasn't been 100% ever since. When I breathe in and out- my ear pops. It's really annoying if I let myself pay attention to it, luckily I've taught myself how to ignore it. lol I had to share this picture with you guys. At first glance, what do you think it is? Well, not really. lol :-P I'm pretty excited though, because guess what? I'm using my brand new HP MINI laptop! It's only 10 inches big, and it's freakin' adorable! I love it. I bought it on amazon.com for about $346 dollars, so far I think it's worth the money. They keyboard is a lot smaller than my other laptop, but I can type pretty comfortably on it. Sweet, I know. It's so light! I'm used to my larger laptop, which isn't really HEAVY, but it isn't that lightweight either. It wasn't fun trying to pack around that laptop, plus my school books on my back, so having this new mini laptop is going to really give my back a break, lol. :-) The only sad thing I've recently realized is that since this laptop doesn't have a cd drive, I can't install my printer onto it. But I suppose that's okay, I can just save any documents onto a memory card and transfer it to the big laptop to print. :-O I need to design a wallpaper to put on this compy, because the HP default wallpapers are a bit too boring and over used for my liking. Here's a picture of my new laptop, which I've named Gidget, lol. Poising with my pink barbie doll for size comparison. Something else I'm excited about is the birth of my best friend's (Cass - friend from middle school/high school) baby! She was born on August 2nd at 6:00 (a.m. I believe) and they just brought her home from the hospital this weekend. Sadly, I've been so busy with work - and then being so tired from work- that I haven't been able to see her yet. I'm so thrilled though! I'm basically an aunt now! lol X-D Cass and I have been best friends for years, and have always stayed close even when we're apart. Gotta love friends who always have your back, ya know? I am completely thrilled right now, so much I could probably pee my pants. Well, not really. lol I’m pretty excited though, because guess what? I’m using my brand new HP MINI laptop! Just chillin', and not afraid of them making noise and trying to scare him off whatsoever! I'm pretty sure we seem like the enemy gang to him. I want to see him for myself though, seriously adorable ferocious animal. Just chillin’, and not afraid of them making noise and trying to scare him off whatsoever! I admit he was awfully cute, and I’d love to just pick him up and hug him (though it’d be hard seeing as how he was as big as my Black Lab!) And he’s just a baby! It’s a little scary, but I’m sure he wont come around our house, since we have much bigger animals than he is; 1 Black Lab, 1 Black Lab/St. Bernard Mix, and quite a few horses. I’m pretty sure we seem like the enemy gang to him. I want to see him for myself though, seriously adorable ferocious animal. Haha :-X

I’ve been looking around lately for a new forum to join. Anyone a member of a good, graphic/website related forum? Preferably one that has a large amount of members. Let me know!! I used to go on kawaiiville a lot, but now that it’s changed over to BWU, I’m not sure I like it. So, I figure this as a good enough reason to look around at some other popular forums out there.

Surprising, I know! I just got into that crazy website mood. So here's a bit of what I did today: 1. I fixed http://www.lovelyglitters.com ! My php includes were all messed up, and I didn't realize that my site was only showing the header. Sad, I know. But it's all up and running once again! I didn't get around to adding anything to that site though, I mostly just stuck with this site. 2. I changed up my color scheme a little on this site, changed my font to gray. ( I adore grayscales.) Fixed up some of the pink colors, and changed the headers. I think it helps to make the site look a little cleaner. 3. I've added a new page of printable bookmarks! Inspired by the fact that I lost mine, and I'm starting to re-read harry potter and the deathly hallows, so of course I need a snazzy bookmark to keep my place! I hope you all check them out, I'm sure I'll be adding some more soon. You can find the page under the visitor section. (I'll link it below as well.) 4. I've added a new part to my sidebar, you probably have notice the little dragon, yes? It's my new adopted pet! His name is Wubby, and I'd be very grateful if everyone clicked on him! I don't want him to die or anything terrible like that! 5. I had a big affiliate clean up today as well. Deleted all the broken links, or sites who've deleted my link. Now, of course I have extra room for new affiliates! So feel free to apply! I accept almost all sites that apply, obviously no hate sites or porn allowed. Any old affiliates are welcome to re apply, as long as my link is put back up. I'll be checking to make sure my site is linked on your website before I put yours up. 6. New Laptop? Oh yeah!

Yesterday I decided to order a new laptop from Amazon.com! I’m really excited about it. I can’t wait for Monday when it’s due to arrive. It’s a 10.1 inch HP! I needed a lightweight laptop that I could easily carry around school. The laptop I have now, is a bit on the heavy side and it really kills my back having to lug that plus all my heavy school books around.

What do you think? Do you have a mini laptop? If so, what brand did you get? Anyways, I completely can’t wait for Monday to come! I was going to get the one day delivery (which means it would have arrived some time tomorrow) but it was an extra $26 dollars for that! The option I picked gave me free shipping and handling! Amazon has some deal going on where you get free shipping and handling on any items that are school related! Sweet, I know.

Speaking of school, it’s that time again when I have to take stupid placement tests, because of course I was a dumb and I haven’t taken another math class in a year… so that means I have to study up again, and take yet another freakin’ placement test! I hate them so much. They thoroughly freak me out! I always screw up on the silliest things that I would’ve gotten right in any other circumstance. UGH! My test is scheduled for August 20^th, so hopefully I can get myself to knuckle down and study before that time comes.

My sister’s birthday is the day before my math test matter of fact. I think I’m going to help her pay for a brand new acoustic guitar for her birthday. She’s really into all that music stuff (that I totally can’t pull off for the life of me. lol) She’d like to have her own guitar to play, since right now she’s using one of my dad’s old acoustics. I hope she picks out a really cool one. lol So I can pretend to play, at least.

Another thing going on today, remember my cat? I mentioned her a few posts ago. Well, anyways, she got pregnant and had kittens, and today three of the five have found homes! We’re keeping the last two, for my sister since her cat, Thomas died earlier this year. I’ll have to post pictures of them later, they’re adorable! We got to keep one girl, Baghera, and one boy, Indiana Jones. haha. We had some silly names for all of them. I’m glad to see them go, as well as sad though. I’m not really as fond of cats as my sister is; but I liked them a little too.

Some are from high school art class, and a few of them I just did on my day off yesterday. One of my favorites is a fan art drawing of Edward Cullen that I did today. It's not very good, I kind of rushed the whole process because I had to go to town and deliver my car payment. I uploaded a work in progress picture, and then my finished copy. The hair line and eyes are bugging me though. I've tried to fix the hairline, but because my pencil was so dark it wouldn't fully erase, so you can kind of see where it used to be.
